Half-day city tour
Guided walking tour of the historic centre.
A typical day, activities, excursions, welfare and arrivals.
A typical day
Days are built around teaching, with generous time for activities, friends and the city. Below is an illustrative weekday — weekends look quite different.
Activities & excursions
The activity programme is included in the fee, and designed to balance culture, sport and downtime.
Guided walking tour of the historic centre.
Subject-linked collections with teaching staff.
A day exploring a landmark UK destination.
Theatre, music or a formal college event.
Punting, tennis, football or swimming.
An evening talk followed by student questions.
Student nationalities
Students meet peers from all over the world — one of the most consistently cited reasons families choose a residential summer school.
Pastoral care
Residential programmes carry real responsibility. These are the standards we hold ourselves to, every session.
House parents and welfare staff live on site throughout the programme.
Staff are on duty around the clock, with clear escalation procedures.
Registered practitioners are available, with access to local medical services.
All staff are background-checked and trained in safeguarding before arrival.
Families receive emergency contacts and regular updates during the session.
Dietary, religious and accessibility needs are collected before arrival.
Arrivals & transfers
Most students arrive at a London airport. Our supervised transfer service meets them on arrival and accompanies them to campus.
Entry requirements depend on nationality and length of stay. We issue enrolment letters and supporting documentation on request. Families should confirm current requirements with their nearest embassy or visa centre before booking travel.
Alumni stories
“I arrived unsure what I wanted to study. I left with a subject, a plan, and friends on four continents.”
